Senate Bill 25-72, which was signed into law on May 30th 2025, restricts 7-OH content to 2% of the total alkaloid content.
On May 30th 2025, Gov. Jared Polis signed Senate Bill 25-72 into law. This law puts in certain needed restrictions on Kratom but also imposes a cap on 7-OH products that are able to be purchased. The cap only allows 7-OH products to be sold if they contain less than 2% of the total alkaloid content.
This cap of 2% basically means that only kratom powder or capsules can be sold, they cannot be enhanced to increase there potency.
